My husband is a firefighter, and a gold band would get pretty scratched up and possibly pose a hazard due to the ease of crushing/bending gold. We opted for this tungsten band, and love it! It stays looking brand new, looks and feels awesome on his finger, and he can wear it all of the time at work. We're very happy with this product!
