Customer Rating: Summary: my 1st Steamer Comment: I read all the reviews and decided to purchase anyway - they were all true - all the good and bad reviews were on the money - but I needed a steamer for quick jobs. It does topple over because of the small base, the head of the steamer hit me in the face a couple of times because the hose is stiff and not pliable and it takes a long time to get the wrinkles out and leaves the garment kind of wet - perhaps because one is obviously using steam but then the temporary wet-smooth soon becomes dry-wrinkle - it would be kind of funny if it did not cost $50 - I tried it once and have not used it since - if I had not gotten rid of the box I would return it - I HIGHLY and STRONGLY recommend that if you really want to jump on the steam bandwagon, that you buy a top of the line model with more pressure and better engineering instead.
Customer Rating: Summary: Well worth the $$$ Comment: This is my wife's second unit. Her first one lasted about 5 years. After I took the unit apart to see what was wrong I determined it was the hard water we used for years. Our new unit is being watered by distilled variant only this time (to avoid the calcium buildup). I'm sure there are much better units out there but at this price there isn't much competition.
An insider tip: remove the brush tip from the steamer head... the unit works much faster without it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Love it! Comment: IF you follow the instructions it works GREAT! I buy distilled water for it and its worth the $0.99 when you get proper use out of this steamer. I have had it for 6months so far and still LOVE IT.
Customer Rating: Summary: It's a TOY. Good if you want to steam clean your mirrors Comment: Useless piece of equipment. Waste of time and effort. At least for me. May is good for you. I BET you 1000$ that in very short time will end up in your closet or garage unused.
Customer Rating: Summary: 10 seconds and then pffft Comment: Thank heavens I bought this on sale! Worked for about 10 seconds, and that was it; no heat, no steam, nothing. Ran the troubleshooting gauntlet to no avail. Tried customer service, what a joke. It will cost more to ship it back than I paid for it, so looks like in the trash it goes. Don't waste your money, time or frustration.
