Customer Rating: Summary: Well made, works well, fairly easy to use, and light to carry Comment: We just got one the other day, so i don't know about long term reliability. But on first use it was powerful, and versatile. It takes some assembly and figuring out how to attach everything, but its really not as cumbersome as it looks.
Pros: You can turn the vacuum on and off with a button on the handle.
You can carry the canister easily up stairs with the handle.
It has multiple levels of suction.
It is powerful, pulls up alot of dirt from carpets.
Retractable cord is nice.
Is lightweight and fairly easy to manuever.
Cons:The carpet head doesnt twist, so you have to twist your wrist when using.
Wish you could just turn off the brushes for use on hard floors, instead of having to switch heads.
Customer Rating: Summary: Review of Hoover S3765-040 Wind Tunnel Vacuum Comment: Vac has many good features, including a power upholstery nozzle and side brushes on the main carpet nozzle that allow one to get right up to baseboards and automatically adjusts to carpet pile. Unit is bagless; one just empties a plastic dirt cup. Has dual air filters, including a HEPA filter. Has tall casters, so it travels easily and does not tip sideways. Has multiple suction strengths with an indicator light on the console. Has an extra-wide floor attachment. Is much quieter than most home vacuums. Has an extensible wand/hose to accommodate different heights of operators. Unit seems tough. Comprehensive instructions allow the owner to trouble-shoot problems like clogs and snarls from such things as pet hair easily. Only criticism is that attachments other than the two power nozzles do not seem to "lock" into bottom of pipe in just one position so one may have to rotate them experimentally to achieve the right bends in the hose and pipe to allow the attachments to "sit" on the floor properly.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good vacuum - But needs care Comment: We've had this vacuum for 10 months (empty nesters, no pets, 1500 sf home, cleaning service uses this vacuum). It worked really well at the start, then after 9 months started to fade. The problems are that 1) The belt needed to be changed on the powerhead and 2) The filter really needed to be replaced, washing, 'tho possible was not practical. The local repair joint suggested changing both every three months (they wish!) Once the belt and filter were changed the machine was back performing like a champ. We'll replace them every six months...
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent, if a little hard to maneuver Comment: The most effective vacuum I've ever owned. But, then, my Kenmore canister, bought in 1966, likely will keep its title for longest running (and with no repairs other than duct tape) as it's still running. I've had the Hoover only a few weeks, but it is powerful, thorough in its pickup of everthing from cat hair to micro dust, and easy to operate. Like most canisters, it's a bit clunky to pull around -- and the weight that gives it substance makes that harder. Also, the one floor/rug head doesn't fit under some of my furniture. Still, these seem like minor problems in the trade-off for the good job it does. This model is bagless, which might not be an advantage -- cleaning the good-sized dirt cup and filter takes some time.
Customer Rating: Summary: So far so good Comment: I have had this vacuum for a little more than a month, its pretty quiet, but very powerful. I would prefer a bottom empty dirt cup, but thats my only con with it so far, I hope it lasts longer than others have claimed!
